Commission bag, Vickers Valiant XD818 which was the aircraft that dropped the atomic bomb during Operation Grapple (GB's nuclear bomb testing on Christmas Island).
I mad a change to the way I painted the bags with this commission. I did not use a white gesso background, but painted the aircraft direct on to the black canvas.
The bag, was one of the large canvas bags (33x29x13cm with 2 large external pockets).
I think the effect of the white aircraft on a black bag is quite striking.
